Samsung Galaxy S5 Premium Model Surfaces in Model Listing;  Look Forward to a June Debut

April 30, 2014, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

You have already got to lay your hands on the new Samsung Galaxy S5, and we think you are pretty happy with the way it functions. What if Sammy now brings to you something more on the S5?

The Korean phone maker is all set to roll out a premium version of its latest rig, and it might get named the Samsung Galaxy S 5 Prime. Going by what we hear, the S5 Prime might come sporting the new QHD display, which had filled up rumour space much before the launch if the S5.

A shipping document had some time ago shown a model with number SM-G906S/K/L. But then, we weren’t very sure about what all unique stuff the new handset would come with.

The latest is that Samsung’s own website currently features the model number yet again, and that makes us believe that such a device is ready and is sure to come to our midst.

The listing is present on Samsung’s Galaxy S5 user page too, though it has different variants of the Galaxy S5 listed. That could also mean that  the SM-G906S/K/L might be hinting at the premium model.

Going by what we see, the Galaxy S5 Prime would come with a 5.2-inch QHD display, 3GB of RAM, and either a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset, or Samsung’s Exynos hexa-core chipset. May be the chipset variety would be zeroed in on according to the nature of the markets where the device would go to.

If you are willing to wait patiently, you might get to pick the Samsung Galaxy S 5 Prime most probably by June. The device making its appearance on the Samsung’s website hints at just that.

If you are one of those who have already picked up the Galaxy S 5 are most likely to know what add on the Prime would come with apart from the ones we just mentioned.  So why don’t you let us know of your wish list here.
