If you were too carried away by the “Inception” movie, and want to control your dreams as well, law of physics and technology seem keen to help you.

A new high tech headband can make this possible. The creators of Aurora Dream-Enhancing Headband, has now been fully funded on Kickstarter.

The device first measures the brain waves and eye movements in order to determine when exactly the wearer would sleep. Once that is done, the headband begins to emit a series of subtle lights that signal to the dreamer that the process is on. These lights, they say, will infiltrate the dream state.

Aurora Dream-Enhancing Headband1Daniel Schoonover, the co-founder of Aurora headband has been quoted as saying that this is the easiest way to a reality check. All you need is that which makes you question the reality you are going through.

Lucid dreaming is the experience of knowing that you are dreaming. It is rare, but the dreamers do gain control of their dreams. Lucid dreams were the core plot of the movie Inception, if you would remember.

The creators say the device will have benefits beyond dream control. It will lower stress levels and reduce nightmares. It may even allow dreamers to improve or develop skills that they are pursuing in real life.

Schoonover adds that when performing a task in a lucid dream, such as playing basketball, it reinforces your natural pathways in real life. Also these are good for quality sleep as well.

According to him, “We’re researching lots of other areas where the technology can be used”. The technology has skeptics sneering at them, and many of the features have not been tested aptly. But in case you want to give it a try, it is $175 a unit.
