Smartphones are much more than your regular phones; they are cell phones, music players, video players, browsers and much more – all rolled into one. Okay, we know we don’t have to tell you that.

But then, we thought we should because with all these functionalities in one pack, they would also need added keep the power juice flowing to live long. That means, phones with a lot of battery backup would be the winners. Though a smartphone generally lasts about a day with moderate use, some of them die out early too.

It thus becomes significant enough to know what all phones have cool batteries that make the device stay long.

The Motorola Droid Maxx , offered by Verizon Wireless in the US, has a big, colorful screen and features aplenty. The camera is great too and is capable of clicking awesome snaps. What stands out is that its battery goes for about 15 hours and 50 minutes, even when you engage it with continuous video playback. That’s an hour more than its former version Droid Razr Maxx HD, which lasted 14 hours and 53 minutes.

Another device we love to play with is the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, which you can now pick from many carriers. This third generation of Note could be said to be the most significant useful upgrade. The battery life lasts 15 hours.

Equally good is the LG G Flex, which sports both the style and substance. The features offered are many that you would want to own one as soon as you lay your hands on it.  This device comes with a 3,500mAh battery that lasts about 17 hours and 49 minutes with continuous video playback.

Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini , on AT&T, boasts a battery life of 14 hours and 6 minutes with continuous video playback. The Motorola Moto X, which comes with a variety of features and functionalities, could lure you with a fairly good battery life of 10 hours and 9 minutes.  The alluring design is another reason why you should go for it.

There is also this Samsung device called the Galaxy Express (AT&T has on its menu), which has laudable battery properties. With about 14 hours and 35 minutes of continuous video time, Sammy’s Galaxy Express has plenty of battery life and also a solid 5-megapixel camera and 4G LTE capabilities.

Which one is yours?
