LG Windows Tablets and Ultrabooks Coming Up

January 2, 2014, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

The upcoming CES event is to see LG’s future products, a new line of portable Windows computers.

The star attraction may be its new ultrabook, LG Ultra PC. It is a 13 inch laptop which weighs even less than 2.2 pounds.

The company is also updating their last year’s Tab Book. The LG Tab Book 2 is a Windows tablet that comes out with a slide-out keyboard.

Yes, since the keyboard is attached, you won’t forget to take it along with you. But this also makes the tablet thicker than the rest.

But chill! LG says it is less than 0.7 inches thick. LG is planning to add two more models, both of which will feature 11.6 inch touch screen displays, Windows 8 software, and also keyboards that slide out with the help of a button.

This high-end model is the Tab Book 2 model 11T740, and also features an Intel Core i5 Haswell processor, a full hD IPS display with 40 nit brightness, It weighs 2.3 pounds and measures about 0.65 inches thick.

The second model is the Tab Book 2 11T540 which measures 0.54 inches thick and weighs 2.1 pounds.

We do not have much info on the second tab as of now. But Liliputing suggests that the omission of details and smaller size may suggest that the model could be one with a lower power processor and also a lower resolution display .

Then comes the LG Ultra PC, a new ultrabook named the Ultra PC model 13Z940. It is thin and light with a Core i5 Haswell processor, with up to 256GB of storage.

The display is 13.3 inch which comes in full HD, and the thin bezel comes at 0.17 inches. This ultrabook measures 0.54 inches thick and weighs almost 2.2 pounds.
