A more advanced and modified Galaxy Gear smart watch may be on its way with an even sleeker, flexible display.
We know this because a patent was filed for the same last week. Rumors also suggest that this could be the Galaxy Band.
Electronista has reported on this probable “Band”, a device that could have fitness and body metric monitoring and would also feature sensors that are capable of monitoring pressure, humidity, motion, temperature, heart rate and the like.
Apparently, Samsung has poached former Apple software engineer Luc Julia for the same. Julia used to work with Apple’s Siri digital assistant wing. In all, the device does look like fitness oriented one.
Other than this, all we know about the device is that unlike Galaxy Gear, this one would be rather plain. It consist a large flexible screen and flexible body. The type and amount of information on the display is open to change.
The coming of the new device is expected, as Samsung had revealed earlier that Gear’ s the first of many similar devices that will follow.
And the good thing is, even after Samsung admitting to the poor ratings that Gear received, they are set to improve.
