Toshiba Haswell Powered Laptop Boasts Battery Life of 22 Hours

Would you want to own a laptop that would offer you battery life similar to a smartphone? Toshiba has made one for you.

The Japanese company has said its new dynabook Kira V634 has the capability to run for 22 hours on a single charge.

What you get with this V634 model 27KS include a 1.6GHz Intel Core i5-4200U Haswell processor, 8GB of RAM and a 128GB solid-state drive.

The device sports a 13.3-inch display of 1,366×768 resolution. Okay, you think the display resolution is something too bad, right? It indeed is low resolution, but the fact remains that higher resolution screens need more power.

Toshiba is believed to have gone for the low res display to make sure the battery life gets more prominence. This feature, apart from a power-efficient U series Haswell chip and Toshiba’s own BIOS make the 22 hour promise possible to achieve.

But then, if you want both high resolution and longer life, Toshiba has yet another rig for you. This one called the V834 sports similar specs and has a higher res display. The battery life promise is for 14 hours. Not bad.

Available only in the Japanese market, these two devices are in fact a dream for people on the go. Are you one of them?
