Tablets are dime a dozen these days, and manufacturer try and get slates made for different categories of buyers. While the designs are almost the same, the performance and features vary from device to device.

So do the price tags.  From premium, high-end slates to wallet-friendly innovations that are fit to rock the markets, we have seen many roll out of various manufacturing facilities.

ZTE has been a player who has managed to stay in the news with its devices that arrived from time to time.  News about a new offering from the company has just surfaced, and the info flows straight out of the FCC files.

The new ZTE slate, christened V72C, is probably heading for the Sprint network  and was spotted passing through the FCC corridor.

A successor to the Optik tablet from the company, the new ZTE V72C  would come sporting a 7inches of screen real estate.

Other features include a camera, whose resolution factor is under wraps. The tablet will boast 3G capabilities and could be a good candidate for the phablet slot.

We have a gut feel that the device could most probably a budget friendly device as no mention has been made of the 4G capabilities.

With the device clearing FCC  analyses, it would be right to expect the arrival of the V72C  sometime during the first few months of 2014.  Are you ready?
