Asus Transfer Pad TF01 Heads for the US; Pre-Orders On

October 28, 2013, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

We saw Asus lifting the wraps off its Transfer Pad TF01 just a month ago in German terrain.

When the Berlin event got underway, there was indeed talk of the tablet making its way into the US very soon.

We now hear that it is happening, for sure. Though there has been no word on the possible arrival of the slate in the US from the company, it looks like the tablet is packing its bags for American soil.

Asus

The Transfer Pad TF701 is a Tegra 4 powered tablet, and that would give the US fans of Asus something to look forward to in the short term.

We have stumbled upon ExcaliburPC taking pre-orders for the slate as of now. We are sure that many more retailers will start offering the device in a short while.

If you are looking to place your order at ExcaliberPC, all you need to do is to keep with a $449 bill handy. That amount will get you a 32GB version.

Meanwhile, the retailer is also offering a tablet bundle, inclusive of a keyboard dock, for $599. In case you would want the keyboard dock separate, you can pick one for $149.

The device sports a 10.1-inch ultra-HD display of 2560 x 1600 pixels resolution. Driven by a quad-core Tegra 4 processor that clocks 1.9GHz, the slate also has 2GB RAM, and also 32GB / 64GB internal storage options. You can pump up that department using the  microSD card slot provided.

The imaging department has a5MP camera with f/2.4 aperture and a 1.2MP front-facing camera. Complete with support for WiFi (a/b/g/n), Miracast support and Bluetooth, the connectivity poses no hassle.

Going by ExcaliburPC’s date, you need to see the tablet shipping by November 3rd. Are you getting yours?
