Sony PS4 Kiosks Set to Open at Retail Spaces; Ahead of Console Arrival

October 18, 2013, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

We know you all have been waiting to lay your hands on the PlayStation 4 that Sony is set to bring unto you. The wait has been on for quite a while, and patience seem to be wearing thin.

Now, what if someone gave you an offer? An offer which allows you to play PS4 even before it arrives on the retail horizon, that is.  As you all know PlayStation 4 will arrive on November 15 in North America, while Europe will see it come on November 29.

Sony seems to have taken the wait by millions of its fans way too seriously. And that could be why the company is now looking to open PS4 kiosks at retailers in the US.

The PS4 kiosks at Sony retailers, we hear, would be rolled out initially as a test mode. So, when these first few kiosks up shutters in a while, you would get to sample your games on the latest console.

It wouldn’t be just Sony retailers who would be offering the kiosks, we are told. The company is planning to take these kiosks to stores such as GameSpot, Best Buy, Target and Walmart too without much of a delay.

Doesn’t that sound exciting?  If you are die-hard fan, we would suggest you to keep a tab on the Experience PlayStation website so that you would be informed as to where all the PS4 kiosks will come up.

And when they actually do, you would get to test your gaming skills on demos of Knack, Octodad: Deadliest Catch, FIFA 14, Contrast, Super Motherload and Pinball Arcade.

How about that strategy from Sony? Tell us your take on this.
