Apple TV 6.0 Update Pulled, Brought Back Again

Apple has re introduced its Apple TV v6.0 upgrade with a new build number. It looks like the Cupertino company has brought in fixes for the connectivity and reset issues from the initial rollout.

If you would remember, the update for Apple TV v6.0, debuted last Friday but was pulled back after some users said that it rendered some devices on which it was installed unusable.

The update had caused problems like deleting content for some users and breaking the device in some. Some users had to restore their machines after installing the new update.

The update was the first one to come to the new iTunes radio service to Apple’s set top box. The support forums of the tech giant are currently full of complaints regarding the new issues.

The issue was not at all widespread, but the company was forced to withdraw the update because it wanted users to be satisfied with its services all the time.

The firmware update came with a variety of new additions like support for iTunes Radio, podcast sync and access to shared Photo Streams.

For some users who are using multiple Apple TVs in their homes, the update worked on some devices and failed on some others. Even the technical experts from the company are unclear about what could be the exact reason behind this strange issue.

The latest roll out seems working fine, as no complaints have come in.
