SmartGlass for Xbox One to Offer Added Speed and Performance, to Support 16 Devices

Microsoft’s upcoming gaming console, dubbed Xbox One, will support up to 16 devices, the company has confirmed.

The maker is in fact previewing its SmartGlass app for the Xbox One and has reportedly let users organize gaming events too. This latest version of the SmartGlass app will also allows its customers in downloading games, when they are away from the console.

Though the current version of the SmartGlass app packs similar functions as the Xbox 360 version of SmartGlass, it is four times better that what the Xbox 360 offers.

With the latest version of SmartGlass, gamers can have the advantage of multiplayer matchmaking from their mobile devices.

Another important feature in the latest SmartGlass app is that it offers more speed and performance rate. Reportedly, it takes just four seconds to recognize the Xbox One and create an instant connection.

Unlike SmartGlass for the Xbox 360, this latest SmartGlass directly interacts with a mobile device via Wi-Fi or Ethernet. Also, it is about three-and-a-half times faster than its Xbox 360 predecessor.

With SmartGlass for Xbox One, you can use it turn your mobilephone, laptop or tablet device into a remote to easily navigate the web on your console.

This free app will be released by the end of this year and would be available for downloading for iOS, Windows Phone and Android devices.
