Amazon Kindle Fire HD Could be a Better Choice than the New Google Nexus 7

Tablet freaks have already endorsed the Google Nexus 7 as a good option. It has also been proved that the new Nexus 7 is the best small slate you can buy at the moment. It is also the best Android tablet in that price range in terms of performance.

But then, experts now say it may not be as good as Amazon’s upcoming model, Kindle Fire HD. Comparing the new Nexus 7 with the Kindle Fire HD, which is going to be out within one or two months, it becomes clear that the latter is better for a buyer if he can wait for it to arrive.

We hear Amazon’s next generation tablet will have a 1920 x 1200 pixel display and a Quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800(MSM8974) processor.

The new slate from Amazon will come with 2 GB RAM and a front facing camera. Configurations of 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB are likely to be offered.

The price for the Amazon slate is also noteworthy, as in it could come for less than that of new Nexus 7. That in fact could lure more customers to the Amazon counters, for sure.

As you all know the new Nexus 7 16 GB variant comes for $229. It is possible that Amazon would beat Google on that count by sticking a $199 tag (that’s the price it has on the current version of the Kindle Fire HD) to the new model. Maybe, the slate could come with some offers too, who knows.

Amazon will also be providing some cool applications for users, and they would include Amazon instant video, Kindle owners’ lending library, Kindle free time unlimited and the like.

All these features point out that that for a buyer, it would be better to wait till the launch of new model from Amazon before going for the Nexus 7 tablet in haste.
