Get ready for another smartphone from Nokia. The company is hosting a press event on July 11 in New York City, where it is rumored to launch its latest rig christened Nokia Lumia 1020.

Like many other recent smartphones from Nokia, the Lumia 1020 is also a Windows based handset. Previously named the Nokia EOS, the handset will come with a 41-megapixel camera sensor. Isn’t that really big?

The grapevine has it that the Nokia Lumia 1020 device will come to the US market riding AT&T. A few days ago, Twitter user @evelaks claimed that Nokia EOS has been officially dubbed Nokia Lumia 1020. And later we found that it was true.

In a recent leak by the same person, we saw a press render of this handset, which clearly shows the AT&T logo on it.

The design of the Nokia Lumia 1020 is almost similar to the Nokia Lumia 920. Rumors suggest that the Nokia Lumia 1020 would sport a metallic body instead of the regular polycarbonate housing. However, the leaked image hasn’t revealed anything on that.

Other specifications of the Lumia 1020 include an OLED display that has a screen resolution of 768×1280 pixels. The device is said to have a 32GB of internal storage and will sport Xenon flash.

Rumors also allege that the device will come with the Nokia Pro Cam app that would offer advanced controls for the 41-megapixel camera sensor.
