Get Reading Festival Prompts Slash in Prices of Nook HD and Nook HD+ Tablets

July 3, 2013, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

Those who haven’t yet bought the Nook HD or the Nook HD+ slates have something to consider at the moment. With the Get Reading festival set for the kick off on July 13 at Trafalgar Square in London, the company has sliced prices of both of these devices.

But then, don’t think these price reductions are permanent. The company has stated that the offers are just for a limited period of time.

If you have been thinking of owning any of these devices, this is the time. You will get to play with the 7-inch Nook HD 8 GB variant for just £99, while the 9-inch Nook HD+ 16 GB model will come for £149. Remember, the Get Reading fest is gearing up for a start in London.

The company feels that it could do its bit to be part of the festival by helping more people look at digital reading and make it affordable across the United Kingdom.  That’s a good initiative, indeed.

Going by what Jim Hilt, managing director, Barnes & Noble, says, the Nook maker is keen on promoting the cause of literacy and wants people from all over the UK to come to the Get Reading festival.

So if you are now looking to buy one of these devices or may be both, you will have to pick them from one of those online retailers or stores out there. Happy e-reading, folks!
