Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom Likely to Release on July 8; Clove Kicks Off Pre-Orders

Samsung has officially unveiled its Galaxy S4 Zoom, a smartphone specially made for those looking for the best camera.  Though the release date for the device is actually unknown for now, online retailers such as Clove have revealed the release date as July 8.

We had heard that the Zoom would originally arrive this July, but we still don’t have any official confirmation on that. But if Clove is right, customers will soon get a chance to purchase this long awaited device.

According to Clove’s website, initial stock will arrive on July 8th and currently the retailer is taking pre-orders for the Galaxy S4 Zoom. However, we are currently unable to tell you anything about the US release date.


For those who need a reminder, the S4 Zoom shoots 16MP photos utilizing 10x optical zoom, sports an optical image stabilizer, and Xenon flash.

The rest of the device specs is as the normal Galaxy devices. This Galaxy S4 rig sports a 4.3-inch qHD (960 x 540) display, a dual core 1.5 GHz Cortex- A9 processor and 1.5 GB of RAM.

Other specifications of the Galaxy S4 include 8GB of internal storage, microSD slot for expansion and a 1.9-megapixel front camera. This Android 4.2.2 powered device comes with a 2,330mAh battery.

The Galaxy S4 Zoom sports some new features such as the new Zoom Ring, which enables capturing and sharing photo via MMS.
