Although Google hasn’t yet announced the much rumored next generation Nexus 7 at its I/O conference, it seems that the device will soon hit the market.
Speculations over a possible roll out come courtesy of an inadvertent step from Google, who has accidentally included the next Nexus 7 tablet in a Google+ Hangouts promo video.
For the promotion of its latest cross-platform Hangout app, Google released a video featuring a Nexus 7 tablet – but with a difference. Twitter user Cesi D’Alessio focused more on that and found that the Nexus 7 in the video shows a LED notification light. But he wasn’t sure, and therefore has asked for verification.
The promo video (posted below), which lasts up to 21 seconds, shows two people communicating with each other across an iPhone, and a Nexus tablet.
Those who are familiar with the current Nexus 7 tablet know that the device doesn’t have any notification LED. Therefore, the tablet filmed in the promotional video might be the next Nexus 7.
If all these turn out to be true, it could be possible that Google might be planning a July release for the next Nexus 7.
According to earlier rumors, the next generation Nexus 7 will be powered by a faster Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and will sport a 1920×1200 screen HD display along with wireless charging capabilities.
