Lamborghini Egoista Concept Stands True to its Name

Egoista means ‘selfish’ in Italian. Now look what good old Lambo has named its latest baby!

It’s 50 years since Lamborghini hit the tarmac. And, the occasion has come in handy for the new beauty, which as of now is a concept designed by Volkswagen’s head of design, Walter De Silva.

As the name suggests, the Egoista is made for those hyper-sophisticated people who want to possess the most special things in this universe. In other words, Egoista is a super car that is made without any compromise and represents the peak of hedonism.

Lamborghini Egoista Concept Stands True to its Name

Inspired by an Apache helicopter and F1 cars, the Egoista can accommodate just one person. The entire vehicle is made of carbon fibre and aluminium as seen on lightweight F1 cars.

The manufacturers have eliminated the old-fashioned doors and have added a sliding overhead canopy. Meanwhile, the interior has minimal props and has a removable steering wheel. To get out of the vehicle, drivers need to remove the steering wheel and the roof.

As in the case of jet fighters, the Egoista has a heads-up display, which is projected onto the curved windshield and shows important driving information.

Summing up, you need to believe that the Egoista 5.2-litre V10, 600 horsepower single-seat concept car resembles a fighter jet more than a vehicle made to hit the road.

Care to take it out for a spin?
