There was a hint of Samsung S IV mini too coming up later this year. Though not at all a substitute for the Galaxy S III mini, the S IV mini could be seen as a good value addition to the Galaxy line up. Of course, there are sure to be improvements in certain areas, but disappointments also need to be expected.

The Galaxy S IV mini (which sports the model name GT-19190) would come with a 4.3-inch qHd Super AMOLED display of 540 x 960 pixel resolution and 256 ppi pixel density. As you are aware, the S III mini has a smaller 4-inch Super AMOLED display of 480 x 230 pixels (233 ppi).

The software used is expected to be the carbon copy of what the recently launched S IV variant has –Android 4.2.2 with new TOuchwiz Nature UX2 interface, that is.

The dual-core 1GHz STE U8420 chip in S III mini will be replaced by much more powerful 1.6GHz dual-core Exynos 5210 processor.

The device will sport a 1.6 GHz dual-core Exynos 5210 processor, compared to the dual-core 1 GHz STE U8420 chip that drives the S III mini. The 3 G model of S4 will use 1 GB of RAM while 4G LTE variant will get 2 GB for faster processing. It will also come with I6 GB of in-built memory, which can further be expanded to 32 GB with the microSD option. Customary, Wi-Fi connectivity, mobile hotspot, Wi-Fi Direct and Bluetooth 4.0 remains with an expectation of NFC as well

Folks at Gadgetmix have found that the other features expected are turn-by-turn navigation and added camera features like smart pause, smart scroll and an easy mode option for starters. Meanwhile, even as you wait for the S IV mini to come, Samsung will be updating S III and S III mini too.
