LG Tablet Said to be in the Works; Set for Q3 Roll Out

Looks like LG is strategizing seriously about a stronger presence in the  world of tablets and that could be realized in the near future.

If you remember, the LG G-Slate never received much traction in the marketplace. And now, the company has decided that the time has come for them to compete in the world of slates.

Not as successful as Samsung, LG’s latest smartphone has been doing good business. The Optimus G and Nexus 4 were extremely popular last year. The hardware side of LG has improved a lot and it has been doing good work to update the Operating System on its devices.

Latest reports suggest that LG could launch another tablet between July and September of this year.

Before you get ideas, let’s hastily tell you that it will not be an Android tablet, but would run Windows Phone OS. Let us hope the company would unveil an Android variant as well.

LG’s Optimus Pad and T- Mobile G-Slate were launched at a time when Android was not entirely suited to tablets. But those devices made no impact in the markets.

However, with technology improving a lot from those days, we can now see the success stories of tablets that uses Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and successors such as Android 4.1 and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

It is a fact that LG hasn’t launched a tablet for long. But their recent success should bring high expectation among tablet lovers. Let’s wait for the new LG slate, which is gearing up for a possible release very soon.
