Apple iPhone 6 Rumors Floods Web Space; De-Glitzed iOS7 Hinted At

The multiple rumors and grapevine buzz regarding the next generation iPhone suggest that Apple is planning to introduce an iPhone 6 and a redesigned, flat and de-glitzed version of the iOS7 in the near future.

Although Apple has never confirmed an iPhone6, Jefferies analyst PeterMisek is almost sure about an iPhone6 with a larger screen. If he is right, this smartphone will be released in June 2014 and will run the iOS7 operating system.

According to John Paczkowski, of The Wall Street Journal, the latest iOS will have a pretty big update and will sport a redesigned user-interface, which will be attractive.

Further, iOS7 will have a flat design that favors simplicity over sophistication. May be that’s why sources reported it as ‘de-glitzed’.

Apple’s senior vice president of Industrial Design Jonathan Ive and his team have adopted a unified approach to software and hardware design. Apple’s decision to follow a design change is part of a significant reimaging of the company’s mobile platform.

Latest mobile operating systems like BlackBerry 10 and Windows Phone are proving that there are plenty of chances for innovation in the market. After seeing this, Apple too feels the requirements of a redesigned and simple iOS version.

Going by the rumors, the new iOS7 will apparently make many customers happy, but this will be upsetting for those Apple’s customers who are long-accustomed to the platform and who loves the rich-texture of iOS.

In a recent statement Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook suggested that the company will announce new hardware and software by the fall of 2013, and as per reports, he indicates the release of iOS7 in September.
