If you have been using the free, high-def communications app Vonage Mobile, you would readily agree this is one service that has kept you smiling all through.

To make the experience more enchanting, Vonage has now added video calling to the app for iPhone  and Android.

So with the new upgrade now coming about,  Vonage Mobile app users will now be able to make free video calls over 3G/4G1 and Wi-Fi. The upgrade also enables you to get your hands on features such as easy navigation, face-to-face interaction with others who have the app.

Go for it here, and you will know video calling has been made possible across data networks for iOS and Android devices. And by just getting on to app, you can call, text, share photos, voice notes and locations with other Vonage Mobile users for free, worldwide.

The upgrade will also allow you to seamlessly switch camera views from front to back without disrupting the call, switch from voice-only calling to video calling in the midst of a call and also invite address book contacts and Facebook friends to download the app and start video calling for free.

Vonage has also said in a statement that it lets you go for “low-cost international long-distance calling to landline and mobile phones in more than 200 countries with rates 70-80 percent less than major mobile carriers and, on average, 30 percent less than Skype’s pay-per-minute rates.”

You will also be able to make in-app purchase of long-distance calling credits, seamlessly use existing mobile phone identity and contact list, enable hands-free calling using Bluetooth, use Wi-Fi and 3G/4G wireless data networks worldwide, and make use of limited-time free calling to phone numbers in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico.
