Apple iPhone 5S Rumors Hint at Presence of 12 MP Camera

Rumors regarding the next generation iPhone have been popping up with more and more information being doled out about the handset.

The latest one suggests that the next iPhone – expected to be named the iPhone 5S – will sport a 12-megapixel camera.

Folks at Vietnamese site Tinhte.vn say that the iPhone 5S’s camera would have an improved night shooting feature and HDR.

Though it isn’t unusual for mobile phone manufacturers to make improvements to newer devices, Apple’s decision to add a 12-megapixel camera comes across as significant.

Clearly, the quality of cameras is a big comparison point in the mobile phone market these days. It looks like Apple has realized this fact.

Meanwhile, Apple’s rivals such as Nokia and Sony have been advertising the low light shooting capabilities of their rigs. This could also have compelled the tech giant at Cupertino to bring in improvements to the camera features.

Apple’s current iPhone features an 8-megapixel rear camera with an f2.4 aperture which was introduced in the iPhone 4S. Therefore, a 12-megapixels camera with low light capabilities doesn’t sound unreasonable.

Well, we have strong reasons to believe Tinhte. The site has shared the right stuff about several Apple products in the past, including the redesigned EarPods and the fourth generation iPod touch.

We also get to hear that the iPhone 5S could include a faster processor, multiple new colors, a wireless charging technology and a fingerprint security scanner on the home button!  That’s seems a lot, right?
