Samsung and Microsoft Emulating Google Glass Technology

April 10, 2013, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

Google Glass hasn’t seen commercial daylight as yet; still it has become a technology worth emulating. There is even a chance that it might be called the most innovative product of this decade as it has already amassed so many fans all over the world.

A Chinese web search company has already started working on a similar project and grapevine has it that Samsung is also toiling on something similar.

Though it hasn’t been confirmed and no leaks are out yet, Samsung does have something up their sleeve these days. Will it be Samsung Galaxy Glass after all? We will just have to wait and see!

Samsung has already been successful in almost all types of appliances and if they want to become involved in wearable tech, no one can stop them. Samsung has been showing off flexible displays for quite a long time now and they could easily move ahead with the Glass project.

glassThough there hasn’t been any official word from Microsoft on such a project, a device similar to Google Glass could indeed be in the pipeline from the Windows makers as well.

Apple Insider recently quoted analyst Brian White as saying in a note to investors that Microsoft’s first piece of new-wave wearable technology will hit the mainstream consumer market in 2014.

So it is clear Microsoft has no intention of falling behind Google in wearable electronics launch and similarly, Samsung will have some plans too in this regard.
