Now Playing Music Player App has the Design of Google Now; Looks Promising

April 4, 2013, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

There are thousands of music players out there and it isn’t big news if another one has rolled out. However, ‘Now Playing’ is something special.

With design aesthetics similar to that of Google Now, this player has it all and at the same time the minimalistic approach looks promising. It is always good to have sufficient white space left and the response time also looks great on this player. Developer Jack Underwood certainly knows how to develop apps that look and feel intriguing.

Though the app is starting to amass popularity, the time is not far away when this might be chosen the best music player app.

‘Now Playing’ is currently available in beta and you can grab the APK right now. Bask in the pleasure of enjoying good music with this fresh approach.  The app automatically downloads artwork for the artists in your collection and it sniffs around pretty well in grabbing song lyrics.

The player also automatically generates playlists for Favorites and Last added music so organizing your music becomes an easy task.

Adding tracks to a playlist or queue by long-pressing is also made included in this app.  Alternatively, one can do the same action to make any song in the list to their ringtone by choosing the corresponding option.

Now Playing also has a built-in equalizer, a couple of home screen widget options, and lock screen controls. The only negative thing regarding the app that can be said at this point of time is the absence of support for landscape orientation.

But the developer assures that he is working on landscape mode and hopefully, this app will become the most practical music player app available in the market.
