Motorola X Phone Rumor Touts Rear Touch-Sensitive Control

March 19, 2013, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

Heard about the Motorola X Phone? Chances are that you might have heard it by it’s other name – Google X Phone.

Well, either way, the phone has generated a lot of interest, mainly because details are scarce. But now it seems the name Motorola X Phone would imply a brand rather than just one phone.

And a little amount of detail, but enough to be excited about, has surfaced, and the novelty is highlighted with the mention of a rear touch-sensitive control.

One of the earliest rumors regarding the Motorola X hinted at a customizable element that would enable customers to purchase phones with different RAM, color and internal storage options. Now, with the latest snippet, there’s supposedly a touch-sensitive control that would be merged into the Motorola logo in the rear.

We don’t know what it will do, but we are anxious to hear more and looking forward to a formal word from the company. The battery life is said to be long-lasting and the display would harbor edge-to-edge full HD.

The phone is expected to be a rugged gadget, built for endurance, which prompts some to say that the device is virtually unbreakable. Well, that we have to see when it releases.

Google is hosting an I/O event in May, and we expect the company to showcase the Motorola X then. A release might happen by July.

As of now, the only thing that captures our interest with respect to the Motorola X is its touch-sensitive rear. Let’s see how it will come off.
