Google Nexus 5 with Impressive Spec Sheet Rumored for Later This Year

We all have that fantasy phone that sports some awesome specs and is the perfect smartphone ever. Well, we do have something close to that dream, and while the news isn’t a confirmed one, you can still drool over it.

Within a couple of days after Samsung ousted their flagship Galaxy S 4, LG-Google’s next Nexus phone has leaked up some cool details. The next generation hardware sheet that popped out claims to be the details of the upcoming Nexus 5, which, rumors say, Google will release later this year.

It seems the search giant is evaluating different prototypes from different manufacturers, and the rumored prototype has a codename- ‘Megalodon’. This bad boy is supposed to have a 5.2-inch 1920×1080 OLED Display in the front, with a 2.1-megapixel front camera, capable of recording 1080p video, complementing the face.

Under the covers, a 2.3 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 is supposed to provide the juice, with 3GB LPDDR3 RAM. Internal storage will be compartmentalized into models of 16/32/64GB.

A 16-megapixel rear shooter by OmniVision is expected to grace the backside, with 4k video recording at 30FPS, 1080p video recording at 60FPS, Real Time HDR & HDR video recording and optical image stabilization. There are front stereo speakers and Qualcomm RF360 (LTE 150 Mbps & HSPA+) included, along with a 3300 mAh Lithium Polymer battery.

This supposedly LG handset will supposedly feature gesture-based controls for navigation, zoom, etc. The list is too impressive to be true, but at this stage we can neither push it away nor keep it close.

The best thing to do here is wait and watch. The codename, anyway, does seem to imply a hefty beast of a smartphone.
