Sony Alpha A58 and NEX-3N Images Out; Sleek and Intelligent

Though there hasn’t been any massive publicity or much hype, Sony has rolled out press images for its latest Alpha A58 and NEX-3N. The new press images were uncovered by Digicam Info and reveal that the new Alpha A58 has received a few ergonomic tweaks.

The Alpha A58 will come with 20 MP Exmor APS-C sensor and is definitely a one stop improvement over its predecessor. Having an OLED viewfinder with 100% coverage, the A58 has a BIONZ processor along with Clear Image Zoom feature.

As in all higher models, the A58 also has Sweep panorama feature. With an ISO range of 100-16,000 and with the capability of shooting at 8fps, the price for body with new 18-55mm SAM II kit lens comes around $599.

Meanwhile, the Sony NEX-3n does have a visual impact with its brushed aluminum looks and a large mouth watering lens aperture size. This camera has a 16MP Exmor APS-C sensor (same as NEX-F3) that has an ISO range of 200-16,000. It can shoot at 4fps and there is a tiltable LCD screen along with Electronic zoom control.

This model also have a BIONZ processor and a built-in flash (GN6). Commercially available in black and silver colors, the price for body with 16-50mm kit lens $499.

The associated press release also has got new informations about the latest compact cameras too. These cameras and their prices are as follows:

  • Sony TX-30  with 18 MP sensor, 5x optical zoom – $350
  • Sony WX-300 with 18MP sensor, 20x optical zoom- $300
  • Sony HX-300 with 20 MP sensor, 50x optical zoom – $500
