This is how a company should to treat their employees. Handing out freebies to employees surely speaks of some special love and acknowledgement for their hard work. Valentine’s Day is showering more love, especially for LinkedIn employees. Every staffer at the company has been gifted an iPad Mini.

The company’s Chief Executive Jeff Weiner sprang a surprise on Wednesday during their biweekly All Hands Meeting by announcing that every full time employee will get a iPad Mini. So, that means all 3,458 full time employees will get to lay their hands on a 32GB black/white iPad Mini model.

Krista Canfield, company’s senior manager of corporate communications stated that they wanted to recognize the hard work and accomplishments achieved by their employees. She said this move is a “small gesture of company’s gratitude”.

Mike Grishaver, a product manger on the marketing solution team of the company scribbled on social media space that Jeff ‘Winfrey’ Weiner took this step as a special reward for their recent achievements.

LinkedIn had recently crossed the milestone of 200 million users. Their fourth-quarter results pulled a hike in revenue reaching $303.6 million, thus giving 35 cents per share earnings to the shareholders. The net income as reported last week reached $11.5 million beating expectations.

The joy of the staffers reflected in a LinkedIn communications manager Darain Faraz’s tweet when he wrote “That awesome moment when your CEO dishes out iPad Minis to EVERY employee @linkedin @jeffweiner”.
