Sony is becoming more and more innovative these days and all their latest models look impeccable. But it looks like it isn’t enough for these electronic giants.
This is evident from the leaked news that Sony might be manufacturing a 6.44-inch phablet for the coming quadrant. A post from the Chinese forum, Digi-wo, revealed an image of a 6.44-inch display with Sony branding.
The hardware is said to be for an upcoming Sony phablet with a 1080p display, although no other details were revealed. With Mobile World Congress (MWC) closing soon enough, it is speculated that the company may debut a new Xperia device at the annual trade show in Barcelona.
Provided that Sony is indeed considering the launch of a 6.44-inch Xperia device, it would make it the largest smartphone in its class, given that Huawei Ascend Mate, the holder of this title at the moment, packs only a 6.1-inch HD screen.
Recently rumors had piled up that Samsung was working on a 5.8-inch phablet, while ZTE was said to be working on a 6.3-inch Nubia Z7 device.
The leaked image of the device does have a clear Sony branding and a very thin bezel. So with photo proofs and all, its safe to assume that Sony might come out with this device any time soon and hopefully it will brighten the Xperia line once and for all.
