The Consumer Electronics Show is a mere weeks away, and when you step into Las Vegas, you will be greeted by some glossy displays. LG is planning on showcasing a new line of displays with high resolutions for screens ranging from 7-inches and above in size.
The company is will be setting up 4K displays for large televisions. The customers’ inclination towards a large-screen experience is what LG is banking on, and there are bringing out Ultra HD (4K) panels in 55-inch, 65-inch and 84-inch sizes.
The company also plans to unveil a 4K television of 30-inches, as well as a smartphone display of size 5.5-inches. LG is also taking a step into the tablet industry with a 7-inch tablet display, touting a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels.
A 12.9-inch laptop display is also on the stands, sporting a resolution of 2560 x 1700 pixels. The company’s Neo-Blade series will be holding up their new line-up with thinner bezels.
There is a 23.8-inch monitor in the Neo-Blade Series, as well as a 13.3-inch laptop screen with a 2mm bezel and a 4.7-inch mobile screen with a 1mm thick bezel. The OLED displays are also getting a new touch, with an ultra light and thin design, measuring 4mm thick and weighing 3.5kg.
LG Display’s offerings aren’t aimed at any particular device, and they will be sold to any manufacturer who is willing to use them. Since, the resolutions of the current 7-inch tablets that we see in the markets do not rise above the mark in resolutions, these new LG displays are sure to create a ripple.
