Rumored Samsung Galaxy Note III Likely to Sport 6.3-inch Screen

The thick lineation between smartphones and tablets has to some amount melted with the popularity of the devices possessing a display size of between 5 and 7 inches, or more easily what we call Phablets.

Samsung’s Galaxy Note series really pushed the category to the now existing level of wide spread demand. Even though competitors like HTC and LG are also focusing in on the large phone market, the Note series still owns “the” most popular title.

When Galaxy Note II came out, the screen size got pumped up from 5.3 to 5.5 inches but the ergonomics doesn’t put any issue for being that much in size for a phone. Last month’s sales numbers indicate 5 million units for the Note II, some what double that of its predecessor.

Rumors are now doing the rounds on a possible Note III as well as on a Galaxy S IV. The most recent on the rumors say that Samsung Galaxy Note III will feature 6.3-inch display with full HD resolution. And they also say that the Galaxy S IV will be revealed at the Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona that’s going to happen this February.

The elevated sale numbers of the Galaxy line is giving more priority for Samsung’s OLED business. Putting that with the current saturated state of the LCD market, they are giving pumping in more investment on to the OLED and plastic –based flexible displays.
