Arriving from the PengPod stables are two tablets named PengPod 700 a 7 inch tablet and PengPod 1000 a 10 inch tablet. In addition, the company will also introduce PengStick, a mini PC. All the three devices are available for pre-order now.
The new dual booting PengPod tablet had been looking to collect $49,000 for the production via Indiegogo. And now after the company has exceeded that number the devices are available for pre-order and will launch in January 2013.
All three devices run Linux or Android 4.0, depending on buyer’s choice. Meanwhile the devices come with a few accessories, including 8GB/16GB/32GB microSD cards and keyboard/case combo.
The 7-inch PengPod 700 tablet has an 800 x 480 resolution and an HDMI video-out port. It also sports a 1.3-megapixel front camera, speakers, and WiFi connectivity. Under the hood, it hides 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage space. You can pre-order the device for $110.
Meanwhile, the PengPod 1000 has 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of inbuilt storage space and sports 1024 x 600 pixels resolution. It is available for pre-order with a price tag of $175.
The third device – the PengStick – measures less than 3.5-inches in length. The rig features a single USB port and 1 USB OTG adapter, 1GB of RAM, and 4GB of internal storage space. It is priced at $75.
