Google Nexus 4 Experiencing Earpiece Issues

Nexus 4 is reportedly giving some problems to its owners. A growing number of people have complained about the strange buzzing associated with the phone’s earpiece.

Google’s Android Project site has got many users complaining about the phenomenon, saying that they are hearing a faint buzz or click which starts from around the smartphone’s earpiece and camera area. Some users complain that they hear distorted sounds while making calls, especially if the volume is set high.

No one knows why this is happening or how the sound is originated. But most seem to agree on the fact that having a software update to fix the problem might not be enough.

The speculated reason for the issue is some sort of shielding problem within the phone’s electronic system. Many users have reported that the problem is only audible in close range.

Apparently there hasn’t been any major mishap suffered by the phone due to this issue. Many say that the worst that could happen is excessive battery drainage.

On a brighter note, not all the Nexus 4s have been affected. The issue seems to be limited to a particular batch of the smartphones.

We won’t know what the actual source of the problem is until Google comes out with a solution. How is your Nexus 4 keeping up?
