Samsung may be the world’s giant with respect to their smartphones, but when it comes to the tablet section, they are yet to make some strong impact. And the prospect of a new device to the Note series might just be what the company plans to hammer the markets with.
Details of the new product were brushed up by the folks at sammobile.com. They have found DLNA listing for a Samsung GT-N5110, which suggests another model in the Galaxy Note series.
The Note vibe is strong because the previous Note devices took off with the model number GT-Nxxxx. The following are the model numbers of the Notes we have seen:
- GT-N7000 – Galaxy Note
- GT-N7100 – Galaxy Note II
- GT-N8000 – Galaxy Note 10.1
Since we have the Galaxy Note of 5.5-inch and jumping to the 10.1-inch, we can reasonably assume that the Korean company is cooking up a 7-inch device for the line-up. There might be a 7-inch or 7.7-inch Note in the works, or the company might even furnish an 8.9-inch device.
According to the DLNA certification filings, the GT-N5110 will come packed with digital media server and playback capabilities. Nothing more has been said about the device.
Since we know that there isn’t any huge event anywhere around the corner, we might have to wait for the CES in January, when the company might get their boy spruced up for display.
