ASUS Padfone 2 Appears on Video

October 15, 2012, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

The ASUS Padfone 2 has been in a game of hide-and-seek, never coming out into the light too much. We did hear a lot of rumors but nothing was confirmed nor did we find anything conclusive.

Now, at long last, we have a video of the device. The guys at Bloomberg who spent some quality time with the Padfone 2 have generously uploaded a video on YouTube.

As you can see in the video, Bloomberg was in full swing with the ASUS UX51 and U38 touchscreen laptops, with the ASUS Taichi in tow. But nevertheless the Padfone 2 is what we were most interested in.

The device has got a 4.7-inch screen, which is an HD display of 720p. There’s a 13-megapixel camera in the rear, which should be more than enough to test your photography skills with.

The Padfone 2 is capable of running for a full day on a single charge. And after the battery gives away, just tow it into the back of the fellow tablet and take charge from the tablet’s battery.

With the two combined, the device should be able to perform for two to three days on a single charge.

In other respects, we didn’t find much of a difference between the Padfone 2 and its predecessor.

Moreover the video doesn’t have any more details. But this October 16th, ASUS will be officially introducing the gadget, so we should be getting more info then.
