BlackBerry Aristo Specs Leak; RIM Looks to Pump Up Sales

October 6, 2012, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

Dull times have been haunting RIM for quite some time and the company was thinking of changing the whole scenario. As a part of that, RIM has readied so many models that are yet to be released and the latest news indicates that the specs of their upcoming model, Aristo, have leaked.

The leaked specs show that the phone will be a solid Blackberry phone. The worldwide criticism of Blackberries being over priced is surely to get wiped off as this phone is obsessed with features.

The BlackBerry Aristo has specifications that are quite impressive than that of the Laguna or London devices. Its dimensions are 136 x 68 x 8.85 mm.

It will be an all-touch device, just like the Laguna. It will be powered by the Qualcomm APQ8064 Krait Quad Core processor clocked at 1.5GHz and will have 2GB of RAM.

Featuring 16GB of internal storage, it will support microSD cards of up to 16GB. Other than Wi-Fi and GPS, the Aristo will have NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, and up to 4 microphones for noise reduction.

The BlackBerry Laguna has already made an impression earlier this week when its specs were leaked. It is supposedly making its way to Verizon, and its specs sheet looks like it is the CDMA version of the BlackBerry London.

According to the leaked sheet, Laguna will run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8960 processor and will have 1GB of RAM. The phone’s dimensions are 130 x 65 x 9 mm.

It will sport a 4.2-inch capacitive touchscreen that has a resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels and a pixel density of 335ppi along with 16:9 aspect ratio.

Apart from standard features such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS, the device will purportedly have NFC and will be powered by an 1800 mAh removable battery.
