Adding a new color to existing phone models may be seen as a means to attract new customers. Like many others in the fray, Sammy too has been trying this out with a fair amount of success.
If you remember, the company had brought to the fore a pink variant of the S III for the South Korean marketplace. And now, taking the strategy further, Samsung is set to paint Canada red with a red Galaxy S III.
We hear the new red variant of the smart handset will come riding the Bell network in Canada. Bell has also confirmed the device launch, but you need to expect only a 16GB variant, which will launch on October 9th.
Apart from Canada, UK retailer Expansys has also confirmed a new 16GB red model and they will be selling it for just £429.99. This price is about £100 less than the initial launch price of the original Samsung Galaxy S III. You can make the red S III yours at Expansys along with a 2-year contract.
Folks in the US also need not worry as Samsung will be offering the red version of the Galaxy S III in the US market via AT&T.
The only difference in the UK and US models could be the processor. The UK version would be an international model with a quad-core 1.4GHz Exynos and 1GB of RAM, where as the US model would come with a dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm S4 and 2GB of RAM.
And for those who need a remainder about the Samsung Galaxy S III specs, let us tell you the device sports a 4.8-inch HD super AMOLED display, an 8 megapixel rear camera and 1.9 meagpixel front camera.
So are you ready for the red S III?
