BlackBerry Aristo Specs Found in the Wild

October 2, 2012, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

A few days ago we had introduced you to the BlackBerry 10 L series devices and now a new leak reports a third device from the company.

The new device is said to come sporting the Aristo name, which means ‘the best’. Going by what we get to see in the leak, it is a slightly larger device than the other regular BlackBerry devices.

The Aristo sports an OCTA Glass OLED 4.65-inch touch screen with 1280 × 720 resolution. The OCTA screen has been developed by Samsung. One of the thinnest ever smartphones to arrive, the Aristo is just 8.85 mm thick.

Under the hood, the device is powered by a powerful Qualcomm APQ8064 Krait quad-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz.

This apart, the device boasts 2GB of RAM that makes the device pretty fast. The device supports NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro USB, Micro HDMI Out, and DLNA connectivity.

RIM has thrown in an 8 megapixel rear-facing camera capable of recording at 30fps in 1080p and also a 2 megapixel front-facing camera that supports 720p recording.

Along with all these features, the device also promises a light sensor, accelerometer, magnetometer, altimeter, gyroscope, and face detect for phone calls. A 2,800 mAh irremovable battery powers the device.

We are just waiting to hear from the company as to when the device would be ready for roll out.
