September 24, 2012, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

LG has upgraded its Bluetooth headset product line up with a new entrant – LG Tone + Bluetooth Stereo headset. The new product is an elite device with its ability to deliver high quality call experience over fourth generation telecommunication networks.

LG Tone + Bluetooth Stereo headset replaces its immediate predecessor, LG Tone, with more features.

With a model number of HBS-730, LG Tone + Bluetooth Stereo headset offers the novelty of supporting VoLTE (Voice over LTE) calls.

VoLTE technology offers high quality calls. If made between two VoLTE compatible devices, the voice will be transmitted as High Definition Audio, making it far superior in quality than usual calls.

The new product is part of the company’s efforts to stay in the forefront of commercializing the VoLTE technology. LG’s Vice President of Marketing Centre, Paul Bae, has been quoted as saying that LG was the first company to demonstrate VoLTE technology and to come out with a VoLTE compatible device.

The new product, LG Tone + Bluetooth Stereo headset has a professional grade audio codec, which helps it to deliver calls in superior quality.

With the help of the codec, the headset can automatically fit high capacity audio data with the available bandwidth to enable easy transmission.

In the new product, the talk time has increased to 15 hours while the standby timing of the device has also increased to 500 hours.

We are yet to get full details about the pricing of the device from LG. The LG Tone + Bluetooth Stereo headset is available in blue-black and white-pearl colors.
