HP Drops Hints of an Upcoming Enterprise Tablet

September 21, 2012, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

We have got an unexpected hint that Hewlett Packard is planning to bring out an enterprise-friendly tablet soon.

The news came right from HP but buried deep under a normal press release from the company when it introduced a range of new laptops, notebooks, monitors and accessories.

As the new devices are just trivial stuff, we were more attracted by the single sentence hint at the far end of the press release which said that “An enterprise-ready tablet will be announced soon.” However, the company was not ready to give away a single bit of information.

Rumor mills had dropped a hint earlier that HP is prepping up a Windows 8 based Slate 8 in its stables. However, it is not clear when the company will be bringing it out, since it has made almost all announcements about the new products for the fall.

It includes HP Pavilion Sleekbook 14 and 15 and the HP Envy m4 PC. All the machines are based on Windows 8 platform.

Other new devices introduced by HP include HP ENVYPhoenix h9 desktop PC, with the third gen Intel processors coupled with the NVIDIA discrete graphics processing power.

The company has also announced a new HP x2401 24 inch diagonal LED backlit monitor which is as thin as 11 millimeter. The display boasts about its integrated Display Portas HDMI ports.

It has also brought out HP Compaq Pro 6305 Desktop PC for business customers. The HP ProBook 4445s, 4446s and 4545s Notebook PCs have also joined the march, perfect with new 2012 AMD A-Series accelerated processors and VISION Pro Technology.
