Microsoft Surface Phone; Microsoft’s Own Windows Phone 8 Hardware Pictures Leak

September 4, 2012, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

Well, the Surface move from Microsoft has indeed hurt many of its hardware partners. Frankly, nobody wants to find the company for whom they are making hardware competing with them in the hardware market.

However, Microsoft is keeping more in the store for the hardware guys it seems.

All of a sudden, a mysterious device has appeared in the tech news sphere which reportedly originates from the Microsoft stable.

The device is a smartphone and is presently known as Microsoft Surface Phone.

To add more fire to the rumors, the device is said to be running on the brand new Windows Phone 8 platform.

Though Microsoft or any other sources close to it is yet to confirm the chances of the existence of such a device, it is not completely impossible that Microsoft starts thinking about making its own hardware for its smartphone platform.

If the rumor is true, it will be Nokia who is going to be embarrassed to the extreme, since the Finnish company has inked a deal with the software developer giant to make hardware for the Windows Phone platform.

The deal, as per expectations, was the ray of hope for a sinking Nokia.

However, Microsoft has hinted that the absence of compelling designs from the hardware partners were a reason for it to come out with Surface tablet in the slate market.

When we consider the current Windows Phone devices in the market, the case can be still the same.
