In a bid to educate children in a fun and interactive manner, French company Lexibook is set to launch its kiddy-tablet in the US starting next month.

Lexibook’s first tablet is loaded with fun and games to help your child learn in an entertaining way.

It also features a library of 20 classic books for your kids to read. The 7-inch tablet sports a 600MHz processor, 256MB RAM and 4GB storage, which is expandable to 16GB with a microSD card.

It has a touch screen and on the connectivity front it sports 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi capabilities. This built-in Wi-Fi feature will help the users to download several apps like games and social networks.

A new world of multimedia opens before your kids, in such a way that they can listen to their favorite music, watch videos or pictures.

It also packs preloaded learning apps. Though it has a content and app store of its own, it doesn’t have access to the Android Market at the moment.

When it comes to general knowledge, you have 300 memos to sharpen your knowledge in English, Mathematics, History, Geography, Science’s and French.

It also comes with activities like an outdoor or indoor game, recipes, scientific experiments and handicrafts. And above all, 10 games have been included.

But then, one of the main drawbacks of this device is that it may appear too plastic – not too strong.

Would you buy one for your toddler?
