The much-awaited iPhone 5 is expected to go on sale from the 21st of September. As we all know, the rumored date is being keenly watched by many out there.

The latest we stumble upon is that the iPhone 5 could come with the A5X processor, which, in fact, is the same dual-core variant featuring in the new iPad.

Apple has the habit of putting the processor of the previous iPad into the next generation iPhone. Taking this fact into consideration, many experts from all around the world had suggested many times that the iPhone 5 would come with the new iPad’s A5X processor.

Apple’s iPhone 4S only sports a 1GHz dual core processor, but it can very comfortably keep up with its competitors.

As the launch of the iPhone 5 gets near, there are also speculations that Apple might migrate to quad-core ARM architecture for the smartphone to keep up with international offerings from rivals HTC and Samsung.

There are also people out there who claim that the iPhone 5 will not need a lot of graphics capabilities, since it has packed RAM within the chipset instead of including it separately as seen in the iPad’s A5X.

The iPhone 5 launch is expected to follow the company’s longstanding traditions and hit retailers within a matter of weeks before the smartphone’s early September unveiling.
