Everybody in the US is waiting eagerly for the LG Optimus Vu to hit the shores. It is almost confirmed that the rig will hit the Big Red Network, with many tech news sources reporting on spotting the device passing the gates of the Federal Communications Commission.

Now a crucial leak suggests that there could be a name change when the rig actually hits the Verizon network.

As per the sources close to LG, the device will be rebranded as LG Intuition when it is launched on the network. An official document has also been leaked which shows the change in the name and possible price details of the device, confirming the credibility of the leak.

According to the leaked document, LG Intuition will be available for a stunning $199 price tag for a two-year contract. That’s definitely a deal worth drooling, right? If you don’t want to sign a two-year contract with the carrier, you can get this Android beast for $549.

LG Optimus Vu aka LG intuition is going to be the first mega phone to hit Verizon with its unique 5 inch LCD backlit display with a 1024 x 768 resolution.

However, the major drawback for the phone is that it still sports Android 2.3 Gingerbread platform. It is not clear if the Verizon launch will bring a Jelly Bean or Ice Cream Sandwich update to the device.

As per LG’s announcement, it is scheduled to hit the US this quarter itself.
