It seems Apple iPhone is not the only one to be threatened by Galaxy S III. Even other high-end smartphone makers are upping the ante to take on the challenge posed by the Samsung device. If rumors are true, then LG is prepping up LG Optimus G to take on S III.
The emerging information about the upcoming LG Optimus G hints that LG is planning to overtake Samsung as the manufacturer of high speed beefy devices.
The beast is heard to be packing a quad core processor chip, which is expected to be either Tegra 3+ or Snapdragon S4 Pro SoC. To keep the memory power on par with the processing ability of the chip, it packs 2 GB of RAM.
The 13 mega pixel cam on the back of the device is indeed elite. The display too, is top end with its 4.7 TrueHD IPS panel.
However, device packs just the Android 4.0 Ice cream Sandwich and not the latest Jelly Bean. But we may hope that it will get a Jelly Bean update soon.
In a way, Optimus G is a revival of the old L line of devices which lost the device war due to pathetic hardware. Optimus G has top end hardware coupled with the elite design aesthetics of the L.
It is expected to be unveiled at IFA Germany and is rumored to become the first LTE quad core device to hit the North American market.
