Doxie Go Offers Better Scanning Solution on the Go

Do you receive a lot of business cards and other documents while on a business trip? If so, you know how difficult it is to manage them in their original paper format.

Then, Doxie Go is the best option for you. With a 10.5″ x 1.7″ x 2.2″ dimension and weighing less than a pound, Doxie Go is an efficient portable document scanner available in the market.

Doxie Go is capable of bringing out 600 dpi resolution document scans while the default scan mode brings out 300 dpi scans. In our experience Doxie Go takes some 8.5 seconds to scan an 8.5-inch x 11-inch sheet in 300 dpi resolution. If you opt to get a 600 dpi scan, you will have to wait for 33 seconds.

Doxie Go also comes decorated with a set of accessories like a scanning slot cleaner and a cloth bag to carry it. It also has a scanning sleeve which helps you scan glossy or fragile documents to put in before trying to scan them.

The portable document scanner also has a 512 MB memory which, according to the company, can hold up to 600 documents or 2400 photos with a 300 dpi resolution. The micro USB port on the scanner as well as its micro SD card slot help expanding the storage memory, if the storage device is FAT formatted.

However, if you are keen on exact color reproduction, keep in mind that the colors become more saturated with Doxie scans and when compared to an HP printer, they are softer and noisier. It may also retain marks of the paper folds since a heavy lid is absent as in the case of flat bed scanners.

However, for that price, Doxie Go does a great job, considering the extra portability offered by the machine.
