Motorola Motokey EX117 is Triple SIM Handset; No Clue on US Arrival

August 4, 2012, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

A lot of people out there carry a dual SIM phone as it is more ideal instead of going around with two separate handsets.

There is a risk of losing one of them since there is an additional device for you to keep track of.

Enter, the Motorola Motokey EX117. Do not be surprised as this is a triple SIM phone. It might seem like an overdo, but there is quite a lot of market for it. Or else, Motorola would not have churned out something like this.

From the design point of view, the Motorola Motokey EX117 is suspiciously similar to the Nokia E71 and E72 smartphones.

Triple SIM would mean the Motorola Motokey EX117 carries a trio of SIM cards, and we will see the device in action in Brazil and Canada at the moment.

However, we have no clue whatsoever as to whether it will ever make its way to the United States any time soon.

Now for the specs. The Motorola Motokey EX117 includes a full QWERTY keyboard, a dedicated Facebook button for those who are social network junkies, and a 2-inch display at a paltry 220 x 176 pixels.

It is also provided with an FM radio, Bluetooth connectivity, a 3.5mm headset jack, a 2-megapixel camera, and a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes.

This non-Android handset would occupy the entry level range of devices, and most probably developing countries are its target market and bookies would find this handset very useful.
