It feels good to take a break from iPhone 5 rumors. Most of the time, the lull in iPhone speculations has been due to some other gadget that’s being prepped by the Cupertino company.
We hear something’s brewing in the iPod touch terrain of late. Apple’s most fascinating portable media player has been ignored by theCupertinogiant’s design team and has been in existence ever since 2010.
It is high time the company has got it updated now. If the latest rumors prove to be true, it will be soon. We have stumbled upon stuff that say the next iPod touch will have the same display as that was believed to be built into the upcoming iPhone 5.
A longer, 4 inch Retina display will be present in the front side of the 5th generation iPod touch. If what the source believes is accurate, we could see a brushed aluminum back on the iPod touch as well as an A5 chip.
This is just a rumor and should not be taken all that seriously. With that said, it is not a crazy backstab as well.
If Apple does not release an updated version of iPod touch this year with the features mentioned, all iFans would be very surprised.
There is not much information on what other features it will include as yet. If the new iPod touch will feature a 3G chip or not, or if it will support Siri is not yet known.
We’ll have to wait and find out in the next few days.
