Apple is not yet done boasting about Siri. The intelligent voice assistant, introduced in iPhone 4S, has already had its share of fame talking to celebrities like Zooey Deschanel, Samuel L. Jackson and John Malkovich.
The latest TV ad for iPhone 4S features the acclaimed film director Martin Scorsese.
In the ad, the New York film auteur and the maker of Taxi Driver, ends up in a taxi. He is seen using Siri to make a quick check on the appointments on the day.
The service even tells him that it is not allowed to be frivolous, but always serious and matter of fact.
‘Marty’ asks Siri to give him an advice on the traffic downtown. Siri returns within seconds to deliver the bad news.
He then directs the driver to take the cut across so that they can move downtown faster. Being amazed by the ability of the service, Scorsese, ultimately expresses his likeness for Siri.
Well, the ad gives the perspective of the taxi driver once – on the rear view mirror, just like the De Niro character watches his passengers in the film. Rest of the time he is out of focus.
Obviously, Siri is in focus.
