Here’s good news for those who fell for the charm of the machines Lenovo showed off during the Consumer Electronics Show earlier this year, because one among them – Idea Tab S2110 – has now gone on sale.
This 10.1 inch device was lauded at the CES. The Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich device is now hitting the market. To differentiate itself from the competition, Idea Tab S2 comes with an optional keyboard dock.
The keyboard dock is a full-fledged productivity option. Apart from the physical keys and the essential feel of typing down on real keys, the keyboard also offers a track pad and an SD card slot to beef up storage. Lenovo says that the tab is designed in such a way that when connected with the tab, the keyboard dock boosts up the power life of the tab by about 10 hours.
The device succeeds S2109 which came out last spring. The rig packs a 1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon APQ8060A chip and has a 12890×800 resolution screen.
Though it is still debatable whether tablets should carry a back-end camera, the S2110 brings along a 5 megapixel camera on its rear.
The tab is originally priced at $449 but Lenovo is selling it at $343 now.
